I've also tried restoring to a point in time where the problem wasn't happening and it did work, I wanted to see on what day the problem arised again if it did, and it did during a critical update windows did, ofcourse I couldn't do a restore before the critical update so I'm now stuck, I download at 25/mb a sec so redownloading the game over just to play isn't that big of a deal, but I should't have to do that to play. I've been having this problem for about two weeks and I've tried an obscene amount of 'solutions' Didn't need a reboot or anything, ran the launcher and it started up like I remember. I went to the file location of the adware, ended the process, and deleted all the files in the file location. Google each one individually, I had some adware on my PC the inhibited me from booting the FFXIV launcher. I took about 30 minutes running through all of my processes. The adware i had was called something like savingsbull.Įxcellent fix. then end the process, and delete the files.ĭont know if youll need a reboot or not after, i ran ccleaner on my registry and restarted. look around for something suspicious, google it, and if thats it before you end the process right click on it and open the file location. the malware on my computer wasnt running under my user, if i remember it was actually running under system. Open your task-manager/processes/show processes from all users. mine was actually the result of adware/malware. If you are using Paymaya, it would be best to link it to your Paypal account before using it for any purchase.Originally posted by SHollern:i had this issue yesterday, noones reporting any success yet, so ill post how i got around my problem (after 7hrs of troubleshooting and trying every thing i could find online).
